About Federation

The National Taekwondo Federation is the vision of Master A. K. Badgujjar who sought a dream in 1982 to form a national level body of taekwondo. This dream came true in 1999 when Master A. K. Badgujjar found a Committee of five people which was responsible to constitute the National Taekwondo Federation (NTF), India. Under this Federation organized it’s the first national championship in 2000 in which just 7 States participated. In 2009 the National Taekwondo Federation India got registered by Government of India under the act of 1860. By the efforts of the board members Federation has sixteen states bodies in Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pardesh, Delhi, Chandigarh, Himachal Pardesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttranchal, Rajisthan, Madhya Pardesh, Bihar, West Bangal, Kerla, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Orrisa. The Federation has more than 1500 registered player all over India.

The National Taekwondo Federation (India Taekwondo) is the national Federation which is dedicated to promote taekwondo in India. This is the only Federation in India which is working for sports on amateur basis. The India Taekwondo is also linked with International

Self Defense Organization to promote taekwondo as self defense technique in India.

The National Taekwondo Federation is the official partner of World Sports Star (International Sports News Magazine) which has all print media rights of The Federation. The National Taekwondo Federation has already conducted 8 National level championships for Sub Junior, Junior and Senior in Men and Women categories. Besides that Federation Cup is also being organized on annual basis. This cup has been started as a Cash Prize event.

The National Taekwondo Federation India has vision to explore sheer talent, nurture them to build world class players who not only represent the country in Olympics but also secure positions. The federation is committed toward vision & conducting the activities towards the same direction.
